How will it be at the Big 4 Indio show?

Hi! I'm a huge Metallica fan, and my dad got me and him VIP tix for the Indio Big 4 show in April. Supposively, the VIP has the "front GA" reserved, how will it be up front for a 12 year old 5 food 100 pound kid? Also, there's supposed to be a VIP tent set up where you can view parts of the show if you want a break from the GA stuff.... Just wondering if anyone ha any advice, tips, or any other info I would find useful! Thanks!
