Sci-fi anime occurring in outer space?

There is an anime that takes place in outer space and involves drama, action, i believe some comedy and romance. it use to come on the sci-fi channel late at night and also involved students battle suits and holographic singer (i think) i cant remember the name but it was a very intriguing anime and i've been looking for it ever since. oh and the chicks had big boobs (of course) this will help and thanks so much ^-^
