WICKED QUICK QUESTION (10 pts)?

so there was an event that several cooprate store employee's were invited to a sit through a couple of speeches then u get a free 3 course meal plus there was a raffle. i happen to win something in the raffle lolz and later that nite when i was at my table with 2 of my managers the guy who was running the event had come over to our table and i asked if there were any more giftcards he had leftover haha. he said no, and said but i do have.. and pulled out 4 red sox tickets for me and my friend who was sitting beside me. my boss and another manager had to sit at another table with friends of his because our table was full. Later my boss comes over and leans over my shoulder and asked who me and my friend were going to the game with. i had said ______ and i pointed to him beside me and he said no hes closing that nite. and he had kept asking who we were going with until we gave an answer.then my friend finally asked if we brought him and our other manager would he be able to drive us and he said yeah and my friend goes i call shotgun! and he said ok! ....next afternoon we had to stop by work and he tells us he cant go to the game anymore cuz no ones around to watch his kids. my friend suggested a babysitter and he said he already tried. i am thinking he was drunk the nite before when he suggested we give him and the other manager tix to go to the game with us. what do u think? both of there eyes were really glossy when they came over at the end of the night and ik they had to be drinking..everyone was and we were there for a while. my boss is in his 35 going through a divorce and my other mang is 26.me and my friend are almost 18..do u think they feel awkward about the whole thing? or maybe he rly cant find anyone to watch his kids? if he did lie, what was going through his mind when he was begging for us to go with them? was he being friendly and wanted to get to know us or just rly wanted to go to the sox game?
